Well... I've got a 13" MacBook Pro and both the keyboard and the trackpad have gone insane, so to speak. First of all, if I try clicking somewhere with the trackpad, it behaves as if I use the right-click option. Next, if I try writing something, I can't, and it produces a sound as if I tried pressing an invalid key combination. So basically, I can't do anything using the keyboard and trackpad, and I'm writing this using my peripherals. From what I've read, it might be the battery causing this issue. Also, as I was typing, the sound of invalid combination of keys came up again. After I pressed it a little bit (around the U I J K L O P keys), it stopped. Should I remove the lower case and check for anything wrong with the battery?
I've also tried booting up into Windows (from System Prefs, ALT at boot has no effect), and it behaves the same way.
I'm suspecting it's a special key being pressed, but I tried killing all of them from System Prefs > Keyboard > Key Modifier, with no luck. Also, the special features for F1, F2, F6, F10, F11 and F12 work perfectly, but the others don't.
Also now, when the OS starts, I get the configuration panel for Right Zoom. I know I had to press a key while firing it in order to bring the panel up. I see the CMD key has to be pressed, so this must be the cause. Also, if I press the power button once, it goes into sleep (everything turns black, except for the little white LED on the front).
Any ideas?
