13” MacBook Pro RAM or CPU upgrade??

I will be purchasing a new 2018 13” MacBook Pro and would like to hear your opinions on which upgrade I should get. RAM vs CPU. Aside from general web browsing and writing/research, I use photoshop on a weekly basis and Final Cut Pro (1080p) on a monthly basis. If I’m working at home, I’m connected to a 27” 4K external monitor. Should I upgrade to 16GB of RAM or get the quad-core i7?

Get the 16GB. You don’t want 8. The CPU is marginal and the external screen will perform the same regardless.
