13" MacBook Pro: Screen blurry unless held in certain position

So here's the story:


My MacBook was sitting on my desk in the open position and someone dropped their bag on it which caused the screen to hyper extend (open too far). Now the screen will go blurry unless I hold it in a certain position.

Could the fix be simple like a loose wire or am I screwed? Apple wants $600 for repairs

Any thoughts are appreciated.
