I've been a happy owner of a 13" MacBook Pro since July, but recently i've noticed that the screen has become discoloured on both the left and right sides.

There is around a one inch strip/blotch down both sides that is a shade darker than the rest of the screen.
They aren't on the outside of the screen, it looks like they are between the glass and the display.

Does anyone know if Apple will fix this for me if I take it to an Apple store?

I'll try to take a photo and post it here but i'm finding it hard to photograph the screen.

Edit: added photo.

Hopefully these photos show it better.

It's a lot more noticeable to the naked eye than is shown in these iPhone shots.

What do I do? :(

Take it to the Apple Store... looks like the backlights are defective.

It isn't the backlights, when I turn the brightness up to full the blotches/stains almost disappear.

It almost looks like the burn in you would get on an old CRT, although I know it can't be that.

:(
