13" MACBOOK PRO speakers ?

Hi Guys - I just got a new 13" MACBOOK PRO and the speakers work pretty strangely - i played a mono sound in logic and panned it left and then right - the left hand one sounds all mid-range and the right one is mostly hi-end treble - can anyone else confirm that this is how they are supposed to sound ? when they are both playing music sounds good - is my left hand tweeter shot or is this correct ?
