Decided to completely reinstall OS X as my MBA was getting extremely slow.

Just noticed in the info page that it lists my 2013 MacBook Air as just MacBook.

Noticed on the MacRumors page that in https://www.macrumors.com/2015/08/18/apple-fifth-el-capitan-beta-public-testers/, there's a pic where it shows basically the MBA I have.

Just curious if this is an El Capitan feature? I mean its not really a big deal but just curious when this happened.

I'm no help, but I just had an image of your Air miraculously turning into a retina Macbook, all by virtue of an OS X reinstall. Now, THAT'S an operating system!
