Hi everyone,
My wife's 13" 2017 (2 thunderbolt port) MBP has just lost its sound output. I've had a look at Sound in the System Preferences and under the output section it does not list Internal Speakers. We tried plugging in headphones and they do not show up either. The only thing that shows is the Apple TV that we use.
She's running Mojave version 10.14.6. I had a look at the system report and under the audio section in Hardware it's completely blank.
Some things I've seen online suggest this is a hardware issue but I was tempted to do a system update to the latest Catalina for her to see if it's some sort of software problem. There has been no update done for a while though so I can't think of anything that would have made this happen.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. She uses it for work and so currently cannot take any conference calls.
Cheers
