Just wanted to share some first hand info, since this was hard to come by, when I was looking for this specifically. i5 2.0, 16/1TB.
Macbook open and monitor behind works very nicely, monitor being positioned to about 50% height, with Macbook screen tilted also somewhere in the middle. I like to use the touchID so for me this works better than clamshell with external keyboard.
- Web browsing, Keynote, Pages, Youtube... the laptop is dead silent. Notable exception being scrolling the Facebook page, which does bring the fan to a slight hum.
- With normal loads everything runs smooth, animations, etc. Impressive for this number of pixels.
- A bit dissapointed with FCPX, which lags a bit and just scrolling the timeline means some fan noise.
- Laptop charges with 94W. No idea why not 61W or 96W, could be a bug.
- Tested it also with 18W iPhone charger. It keeps it at 100% when doing light tasks.
- LG is much nicer than I thought by reading reviews. The biggest downside being there is no way back to lower resolution devices.
