Hi all. Does anyone use a 13" MBP to drive a 30" display? If so, can you comment on the quality and whether or not the graphics card can handle it OK? Thanks!

I use a 20" at home but use a 32" in my living room and work flawlessly!! I have a mini display port to vga adapter and use it all the time, even at church running a 80" in full 1080p!

It'll work fine - the 9400M supports 2560x1600.

Because 1920x1080 is so hard to drive..

Yeah, both 1920x1080 and 2560x1600 are trivial for any modern GPU. Don't expect to be able to run 3D games at full resolution though.

I hooked up my 13" mac to the 300 ft. cowboys stadium jumbo-tron running full 1080p! thats over 1000 inches!

aren't macs awesome!!

You may want to get a display that has a Displayport connector though. The Apple mini-Displayport -> Dual Link DVI adapter apparently doesn't work all that well and it's also really damn expensive compared to a mini-DP -> Displayport cable.

In any case a 30", 2560x1600 display works fine with the 13" MBP.
