Can a 13” MBP be used as a desktop replacement for a business owner who uses a computer 6 out of 8 hours a day without an external display? Thoughts?

Vs perhaps a 15” MBP?

What is you're doing with it?

My only issue with using a laptop full time is neck strain.

Can't see how being a business owner is relevant, if you like working on that spec 6 out of 8hrs then it doesn't matter whether you are employed, self-employed or unemployed.

I have and could again but prefer to have a larger monitor. YMMV.

In terms of doing daily business related tasks not studying or creating video content or editing etc

You may be better off with a MacBook or the updated Air rumored to be released soon. Heck, if it's mostly emails and documents you could even look into a PC with better battery life or bigger screen and cheaper prices.

I also recommend a MacBook or MacBook Air instead. The extra specs won't make much of a difference for your usage.

I think you should really consider an external monitor though, it makes a huge difference in productivity and comfort for a lot of tasks.
