Hi all,
I am looking into buying a new MacBook pro - currently have a 13" c2d 2.53ghz 2009 MBP and am looking at the new models. The majority of my work involves coding in Fortran and IDL which makes me think that the dual core i7 13" models would actually be my best bet as my code is not parallel. Is this a reasonable assumption or should I be looking to go with the lower but quad core higher end models? I have a cinema display so screen size isn't really an issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
