how many people looking to buy a 13 mbp or how are within return policy are considering the rumored updated mba. there us alot if talk about here in the mba forum, i7 ulv.

if it is announced at the WWDC i will certainly consider it. i will wait until at least then and after that make my decision to either get:

a 15",
a white plastic refresh MB13 2010 (maybe cheap enough to consider the crappy upgrade),
a new MBA2010,
or wait for the 20100 MBP13 refresh.

what i am hoping for in the MBA to really get it right away:

* i5 ULV
* less glossy then MBP
* 4gb default with an option to upgrade
* 8-10 hours battery
* SSD
* $1500

Wirelessly posted (iPod Touch 2G 8GB: Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

It's been explained many times why the macs without discrete cards can only have a core 2 duo.

NO i5 for MBA!!! Unless Apple wants us to not have the ability go watch YouTube videos in fullscreen

so what is going to happen to the 13 inch laptops since i5 is not possible according to some articles? are we stuck with core 2 duo forever? do you really think the next update will use C2D? im sure they will find a way to fix this issue. Even if it takes 1-2 more years...they could also switch to AMD!

i think all the "reasons" why an i5 isn't possible are more like excuses, but i won't go into that here it has been discussed before. Even if then can't fit an i5 into the MBP13 or the MBA i am sure they could fit the june2010 i5 ULV into one for he coming refresh ... if they wanted to. It is said to use less power, and thus generate less heat, based on 32NM. that would mean a cooler laptop, less fans, but still turbo-boost and hyperthreading. seeing apple had the NV320M especially made i am sure we will see that in another few MB(A)(P) models.
