Does anyone know if the iPad screen matches either the mbp or MBA screen more closely??? Or is it totally not comparable??

I have MBA 2010 and wife has a MBP, the Ipad's screen is vastly superior to screens on the macbooks. I am yet to see a TN panel which came close to IPS thats found on the ipad.
