At random my MBP seems to be having a hard drive issue or something. It was acting very very sluggish one day so I ended up having to hold down the power button to shut it off. Now when I try turning it on it just gets stuck at that first screen with the spinning circle or whatever.

I'm assuming this is a hard drive error? Do I need to get the install disks and run disk utility?
I hope it's nothing worse, my last backup is a month or so old.

Hmmm.. also, I'm out of town. If I went to an Apple Store would they be willing to throw an install disk in it and run disk utility or whatever needs to be done? The hard drive is not stock, if that makes any difference.

Thanks
