For the pro...is 128gb enough ? Not many games, many pictures while travelling and some videos.
What are the pics and video size ?
Thanks

I've read that the top of the line video mode (prores?) requires at least 256gb model. So if I was buying I probably would go that route.

But instead I'll stay with my 12 Pro at least another year, when the 13/14 models are as obsolete as my 12 pro is now :)

It is for me. I’m using a 64gb and still have room. But we’re all different.

Take a look at what you are storing now. Assuming your habits will stay the same and that about 10% will be used to operate the phone, you should be able to see what works for YOU.

Depends on whether you store the originals on the phone mostly.

Also, please note that 128 GB only supports 1080p ProRes video recording whereas 256 GB supports 4K.

Thanks for those answers..still got 20 gb left on my 128gb s10e, and I got 2 years( and three one month trips) of photos on this device. I dont know the size of the pics of the iphone 13.

And prores...what's that ?

If you only have 20GB left, you should definitely go for 256GB. For best write performance with SSD, it should have around 30% unused. This means with 128GB, you'd want to have around 40GB of unused space.

I can also put those pics on a my pc ! The 160$ price bump.for 128gb is hard to justify...and i've read about prores, theres 99% of chance I would never use that feature.

I went 128GB. I’m aware that 4K ProRes is only available to 256GB and above, but I’m never going to film in that format so I’d rather save the $100. Especially since I’m only using 30GB of my current 128GB.

Had 128GB for a while and placed a pre-pre order for one again but changed my mind and went with the 256GB. I may not get over 128 this year but it’s going to be close and I don’t wanna have to worry about it.

I have had 256gb iPhones since iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro

but I went with 128gb iPhone 13 pro max this time. I really don’t use more than 60-80gb. Max I think I ever got in any of my phones was 100gb

I’m currently using 50gb out of 256gb (205.8gb storage left). I have 140 apps and 2000 photos. Not many videos (18)

if you play a lot of games (some games consume 4-5gb these days) or shoot video. Than yes. Get more storage.
I also delete all my messages and restore my iPhone 2-3x a year. So that clears up a lot of junk.

I usually don’t keep my phones more than 1 year. So the trade in takes a hit going for more storage I don’t need.

Good question. My current iPhone is 64GB. I am bumping up against that and I know I'm holding back some things from syncing because of it. Decided to go with 256GB this time around because it was only $100 more than 128GB. But to be fair, I probably could do with 128GB.
