The 13 Pro Max Apple MagSafe Clear Case doesn’t work with the wireless charging pad in my Tesla Model 3. It will work if I take off the case. Does any of Apple’s cases work who have a Tesla model 3?

I'm on the Tesla Forums and other owners are reporting if you turn your phone upside down it should charge. It's due to the size of the iPhone Pro Max and the charging coils on the wireless charger doesn't align up.

I have the 13 Pro and have an older Model 3 with a third-party wireless charger and have no issues with charging with a case on.

Model 3 2021 refresh..
and 13 pro max....

Doesn't work, same as everyone else's experience sadly.

I have tried both the apple clear case and the apple silicone case... and it appears that for some reason the presence of the case is just enough to make the charger not work. If you remove the case then its fine - although the case adds so little I guess its just out of line by that mm too much with the case on and no charge.

As others have stated the charge does work if the phone is upside down so that's something I suppose.

Yup, it’s a bummer I can’t wireless charge in the car. I have to use the cable.

we'll, you *can* just with the phone upside down.

I was researching Apple's MagSafe chargers and car versions thereof but I just hate the prospect of dangling wires all over the place when theres 2 perfectly good wireless pads built in!

Not true because if you take out the case it will work fine. I suspect it’s the magsafe magnet that’s creating a interference between the phone and the car’s wireless charger

also not true as ive had the iPhone 12 in an apple MagSafe charging case and that worked fine in the tesla.

Its a strange combination of the 13 pro max's size, charging coil location and the case being the straw that breaks the camels back there... its just about OK without a case but with.. those coils just aren't aligned. (or turn it upside down)
