Went to see The Rolling Stones last night. Decided to take some video of it as I always do at concerts. Was initially shooting in 4k 60fps. Halfway through the first song, the camera app crashed. I thought maybe its too hot or too much, so I changed it to 4k 30FPS. I remember the phone being warm, but not scorching hot either. Although I guess I didnt really touch the back to check specifically either. Pretty sure I was in power saver mode too.

Took a video of a song here and there. I'm almost positive I was in power saver mode the entire show, especially after the crash the first time. I recorded the last 4 or so songs in a row in 4k 30FPS. Which wasnt a problem until the camera app crashed again in the middle of the last song (Satisfaction)

Anybody else have these issues? I've recorded tons of concerts, every song and I think at least 1-2 in 4k and dont remember the camera app *ever* crashing on me. I sure hope this isnt a overheating problem like some Android phones have when shooting in 4k especially 60fps. Mostly because I was dunking on my Android friends when it came out about overheating in like 90 seconds when shooting in 4k 60FPS lol

I haven't even taken any video with mine yet - I will test tomorrow and report back ;)

I highly doubt it was an overheating problem but some weird software issue. Frustrating as iOS 15 seems to be full of issues here and there. Its 2021, its Apple and they have how many people public testing the betas before full release and we still have all these problems???

Just to chime in here... my 13PM did two complete reboots by itself when taking just regular pictures with default settings on the same day. This never happen before and all I did to the phone was update to newest iOS build from factory to 19A346, backup to iCloud, wipe the phone with erase and reset, restore from iCloud...

Went to the privacy settings to check the log... yup, two kernel panics and reset counters as well. Both are "Kernel data abort". Should I go to see Apple Genius and see what help can they offer? Or wait for the iOS 15 updates and see if it will fix itself?

If it were me I would open a case with Apple Support. You can send give them the kernel panic file.

Just a opened a case with Apple Support using the support app. Booked an appointment for on-site troubleshooting next day. Didn't call Apple Support for uploading the panic file tho...
