I know it’s just benchmarks but I’m still curious. My 12 pro max on the Antutu storage speed test scored 1500 MB/s read and 1200 write. My 13 pro max scores 896/578

Both are 256gb models. Did apple really downgrade storage speeds that much or do I need to give this phone a bit more time to do its thing in the background? I just got it set up an hour ago

Anybody else have results to share? Overall loving the phone, love the high refresh screen, very snappy feeling

It's quite possible Apple switched to slower, higher density NAND so they can offer higher storage capacities.

That said, it's entirely possible it's still in the middle of downloading, indexing, etc. Maybe just try again after a couple of days.

interesting.... I returned my 13 Pro Max 256gb yesterday. During the week that I had it, I did noticed that it took longer to copy and move stuff around.(videos and photos from iCloud to phone, then to another part of the phone) This is compared to my old iPhone 12 Pro and Xs Max.

What’s interesting is when I run JazzDiskBench, I get 1500/1300 times.

It’s polar opposite between the two devices, my 12 pro max scored worse on Jazz but did great on the Antutu one lol

I have never once thought to test storage speed on my iPhone because frankly when it’s that fast it doesn’t matter for MY day to day use.
