So I’m on upgrade program. Upgrade every year. At this point it’s practically an autopilot type situation, but this year has been the most frustrating.

iPhone 13 Pro with iOS16 to iPhone 14 pro with iOS 16 has not gone smoothly at all. It’s all weird little things:

- Unlock iPhone and watch one unlock. That’s worked since Apple Watch zero but now was turned off.

- iPhone 13 Pro I forgot my guest network so it wouldn’t connect to that, iPhone 14 pro automatically connected to guest network and tried to continue to connect to it even after auto connect was turned off and forgotten about, again. Just writing this message I’ve lost service multiple times. My main network at “auto join turned off”

- all kinds of apps have settings turned off or incorrectly turned on. I can’t remember them all but outlook, Apollo, etc. almost every single app has had at least one or two settings turned in the opposite of my iPhone 13 Pro.

- HomeKit stopped while out of the house but locally works perfect. That is everything, cameras, to locks, to lights.

- finally I can’t get battery above 90%

Another fun feature is I can’t get the battery to hold a charge for long. Doing my morning routine then driving 40 minutes to work while on a charger and using Apple Maps, I’d always get to work at like 95% battery life. Today I’m sitting at 78%. I’ve yet to be able to make it to the end of the day without needing a charge.

I’m shocked at how bad of an experience this upgrade has been so far. By far the worse of all my iPhone upgrades and I’ve had almost every single iPhone
