Hi everyone!

I just got a new Samsung 3D tv and I wanted to know how I could use VLC to play a 3D movie to my TV. I have my Macbook hooked up to my TV via HDMI. Is there some special settings within VLC? And yes, the movie is in 3D.

Thanks!

You can, if it is in SBS or OU format (ie. stream-wise in 2D with a split picture on single frame).
If it is a genuine 3D stream, then you can't.
OS X has no support for 3D in it's video drivers.
Models with modern nVidia GPU-s (that support nVidia 3D-TV) should be able in Windows. At least I have seen the drivers are included in Boot Camp.
