so i work at an athorized apple retail store and i have the oppurtunity to buy the retina demo model because of the announcement of the faster/cheaper retina. i have a macbook air thats 8months olds it is:

2011 Macbook Air 13"
1.7 Ghz i5
240 GB OWC SSD
4GB ram

im hoping to atleast get $1k for it and turn around and buy the demo retina for $1150-$1200 my question is, is it really worth it according to benchmarks. the retina has

2012 Retina 13"
2.5 Ghz i5
128GB (Stock) Hard drive
8gb ram

What i use my computer for is for my business classes where i have to run windows and occasional League of Legends gaming.

I have a 2012 macbook air and even if someone told me they would trade for a 13 inch retina i wouldnt do it. the air is awesome. Its your choice though so

The 128GB SSD might get a bit limiting if you plan to run Windows games on it. That said, you can use a USB 3.0 SSD drive or even a faster flash drive (I've seen 64GB external flash drives with write speeds as high as 120MB/s) and run Windows from that.

Otherwise, the rMBP has a much nicer screen, and the processor is comparable to the i7 upgrade option on the Air.

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2011)
Intel Core i7-2677M 1800 MHz (2 cores) 5587

MacBook Pro (13-inch Retina) 6622
Intel Core i5-3210M 2500 MHz (2 cores)

Difference=1035 Bench Points

My manager confirmed that i would be paying $1259 for the Demo 13" Retina i5. what do you guys think i could get for my air with:

2011 MBA 13"
i5 1.7
OWC 240 GB SSD
4GB Ram
--Also--
will include 128gb HDD for backups
