Hi.

I just started to use my 2015 13" rMBP (base config with 256 GB storage) with a 27" 1440p display via a mDP to DP adapter and DP cable.
The rMBP is connected to power and the fans is at full speed giving me 36° C now and a CPU usage of 12%.

Is that normal or can the fan be slowed down again, because while it is not as loud as a 2009 MBP, it is loud enough to not hear me farting?

Thank you for any pointers.

Did you try a SMC reset?

The rogue fan has visited me 3 times so far this year. Recently did the SMC reset, and so far it's quiet. I trust that will continue, but I'm not 100% sure. The rogue fan rides again. Yee hah!
