13" rMBP USB 3.0 Disconnects

I am experiencing disconnects of an external USB 3.0 LG Blu-ray burner on the right side USB 3.0 port. This happens in bootcamp or Mavericks. The right side port is fine for external USB 3.0 hard drive. The LG Blu-ray burner is powered externally. The left side USB 3.0 port works for both external drives. Is this a software bug, power issue or something I should exchange the MacBook Pro?
