My first computer was a 19 inch windows desktop.
Then I had a 17 inch windows laptop.
Now I've had an Air for almost a year, and although I was hesitant to lose about
42% of the screen area [ 1-(13/17)^2 ]
and about
56% of the resolution [ 1-(1280*800)/(1920*1200) ],
I've found myself perfectly content.
OS X really helps; Spaces and Exposé make the absolute most of the screen, which I must say really shines; owners will know what I mean
So I find a 13 inch screen completely useable for a main computer, without a doubt.
And this is why I'm getting upset that netbooks seem to be getting BIGGER
!
Dell recently ended its 9 incher's life, and many new releases are 10, 11, and even 12 inches.
I feel that 13 inches can be the perfect full time machine, something netbooks, with their Atoms et cetera, aren't meant to be! I'd like the distinction of their small form factor to retain its definition...
And don't get me started on bezels.
