13" Unibody only connecting to Airport Extreme N Base Station at 11 mbps

Hi guys, last night I set up my Airport Extreme Base Station to be a wap from an existing router. I was connecting to it fine last night and when I looked into the network utility the rate said 144mbps. I just installed Snow Leopard and now when I look it is only connected at 11mbps. I have nothing else connected wireless to this router and my Macbook is 3 feet away from the router. Any ideas what may be the problem? Could it have been Snow Leopard that screwed something up?
