So me and my brother play SC2. I have a 15inch MBP with the i7 and he has the top spec 13inch MBP.

However when were playing together after about 10 mins my fans kick in and my laptop get almost untouchably hot. But his 13inch MBP stays warm and no real fans!

Can someone explain why this is?

Thanks

Ben

13" has a integrated GPU which is weak, so has low power draw (producing less heat); the 15" has a dedicated GPU has runs out, but is more powerful (but it also produces a lot more heat).

Ok so its that simple!

Thanks for that!

Well your 15" also has an integrated GPU, but when you're gaming the computer switches to the dedicated GPU. The integrated GPU on the 15" is a lot weaker than the one on the 13", so don't try to use it ;)
