I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 with Cydia installed. Last night something happened and all my texts are gone. (Needless to say, I haven't sync'd in months)

I heard there was a way to get them back as long as you have a jailbroken phone and don't do anything to overwrite the data. I shut mine off immediately, so I think that makes me a perfect. Only problem is I don't know what the hell I'm doing or how to SSH and what I'm looking for (sms.db?). But the good news is that I can follow step-by-step instructions to a tee. :D

^^^

I don't think Text Messages are worth saving, well, not at a $199 fee.

Edit:

It appears that the person's post who I was pointing the arrows to got deleted, it was probably a spammer, but the link was for a recovery USB thumb drive that would recover anything from your iPhone for $199.

The arrows were not meant for the OP and I still think that $199 would be a lot to pay to just recover Text Messages.

1337? Totally. May get more help if you post this in hacks.
