it may take a little more than a few minutes to realize the benefits of the retina, however after a few days of web browsing with this clarity its tough to go back to anything else.

My eyes suck and i'm looking at these pictures on an iPad first gen and I can see the clear difference.

Honestly it looks like some sort of browsing compression on the top with the images vs no compression on the bottom.

Is the iPad 1/2 screens really that crappy? My mom didn't have a problem reading my Motorola Xoom screen and its pretty clear so I figured the iPad 2 would be good enough for her but if its that crappy, geez.

The lower res screens are fine as long as you haven't seen the high res screen of the iPad 3rd gen.

Once you see it, you can't "un-see" it.

Damn just realized my Xoom (1280x800, 150 ppi)has a higher resolution than the iPad 2 (1024x768, 132ppi) does, oh well if it really is a problem with her I can always take the 32GB iPad 2 back and pay $50 for a 16GB iPod 3.
