Hi all,

I have a just-purchased 2.3ghz mini and I bought some memory at Fry's to upgrade it.

When I installed in and tried to boot the computer it just beeped a few times and never powered up.

I reinstalled the stock memory and everything is fine.

This is what I bought:
2x4gb DDR3 1333MHz
CMS08GX3M2A1333C9

Suggestions? Should I just try to take it back? I'm pretty sure the memory was seated properly but if you think I should try it again I will.

Thanks, Allison.

I got it, it was definitely the seating. I had it in pretty firmly but unplugged everything and tried again. It took more force than I ever had to use on my iMac, but it works, so we're good!

Thanks!

Glad it worked out!

I have found the same problem with my 2011 mini in particular. I have never used that much force before, and its always an extremely uncomfortable/sweaty experience:D

Glad its working!
