Gumtree may also be worth a try if you live in a decent sized area.

This is a fabulous question.

I am also looking to do the same thing, but live in the US. I have 2 MP's to sell, both have been upgraded with GTX 285's.

High-level details:

First:
- 2008 3GHz x2
- 8GB RAM
- GTX 285
- 4x Velociraptors on a HighPoint RocketRAID + an extra VelociRaptor for Bootcamp
- Upgraded Superdrive to SATA DVD/RW

Second:
- 2008 2.8GHz x2
- 4GB RAM
- GTX 285
- 2x 640GB drives in RAID0 + 500GB Bootcamp disk
- CalDigit RAID card (in box)

There is more stuff to mention but at this point I'm looking to see what folks think. I appreciate the feedback that you folks have as this community has served me well over the years.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay, or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

What would be your recommendation of WHERE to sell it? Fleabay seems to charge exorbitant fees and Craigslist seems ... creepy? Never really used the latter so possibly speaking from ignorance.

Yep, with eBay, you'll lose half your money between their final value fees and then the paypal fees on top of it. I'm in a similar situation trying to figure out the best way to market my Mac Pro.
