Price predictions for 13inch Macbook Pro Retina?

I'm wondering what people would reckon the price of the Macbook pro 13inch Retina display model that rumours seem to suggest is likely out later this year may be?

Im contemplating either waiting to see what its like or pulling the trigger on the higher spec current macbook pro 13inch.

What do people reckon the new 13inch MBPR price would be?

I guess we can speculate at least, no harm

personally, i think for the base 13 retina model, if it were to come out without a dedicated gpu, it'd be $1599.

Agreed with the $1599 ish price bracket. I think we may also see the 15" Retina drop down a bit (no lower than $1999) in the next year or two as the 'classic' Macbook Pro is phased out.

I think it will be a year off, 2013 will be retina across the whole laptop lines. Other items will get cheaper, like ssd, so I say $1299.

But if the Airs get retina too, what will be the difference between the 13" R-Air and the 13" R-MBP? A bit beefier processor?

I think that either the Airs get Retina displays or there is a 13" Retina MBP announced. One or the other but not both, at least in the near future.

$1499, the base model will cost the same as the high end model of the non-retina, same as the 15". You might see a $100 price bump just because they can.

Similar argument could be made today actually.

This is my vision for the 2013 lineup.

11 inch retina air, 13 inch retina air, 13 inch beefier Mbp retina, 15 inch retina.

+ a 11 inch regular air to have a sub $1000 machine.


I think apple is going to go all retina and let the world adapt.
