This would put the release at October 17th, 2012. This would be a Wednesday, just like October 12th 2011. The iPhone 4S was released two days later.

In ios 6 will the betas (beta 2, 3, 4) have to be full restore or will they be ota on devices running beta 1?

I can't remember where I got the info but OTA for the Beta Updates.

Doesn't matter where you got it cuz its just a guess.
;)
We'll never know until they actually get released.
I'm personally betting on some OTA and some wired with beta-2 definitely being wired.

Simply due to the nature of the question, I have to assume you don't live in the USA. This is a major holiday for us, Independance Day http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29. Most US corporations like Apple practically shutdown, particularly R&D, non-customer facing roles, mass employee exodus for vacationing and family time.

Most likely from the UK based on his posts. If any country were aware of the US having an Independence Day, it would probably be the British. :D

As for Beta 3, it will hopefully keep to the 2 week cycle to be released on Monday, July 9th. My experience has been buggier with b2 than b1.

I guess Apple had a hard time stabilizing iCloud and integrating Siri last year. My prediction for iOS 6 is; :D
  • 6/11 = iOS 6 beta 1
  • 6/25 = iOS 6 beta 2
  • 7/09 = iOS 6 beta 3
  • 7/20 = iOS 6 beta 4
  • 8/06 = iOS 6 beta 5
  • 8/17 = iOS 6 beta 6
  • 9/04 = iOS 6 GM
  • 9/12 = iOS 6 to public
  • 9/14 = iPhone 6th gen to public.

Looks like it may be following last year schedule in terms of days. Or close to it in regards to the amount of days until the next beta.

There is no schedule.
Never has been, never will be.
It's beta software and they release updates when the code has been changed to a degree that requires it -- not because of some date on a calendar.
