I've an itch, but should I scratch it?

A while back I bought a s/h 13in m1 MBA 16gb from a private seller for £700 and that has served me well when traveling, complementing my stay-at-home max'd out 16in MBP.

I don't need to upgrade the MBA but I'm being tempted by a refurb MBA described as "M4 10 Core CPU 10 Core GPU 16GB 512GB" for £810, as a buy-me-now second discount from £909 from a well-known UK store.

I've a general use case for my travel device, nothing too special, but from what I've read would I notice the upgrade - that right?. So, is this a no brainer, if only to remove and itch?

As postscript, I can cascade the m1 MBA to a younger relative & I'm not sure the upcoming m5 MBA will give me buyer regret.

as rider, should I prefer an M3 with 24gb/512gb to that M4 16gb/512gb ?

Having gone from an M1 Air to an M4 Air recently (both 16 GB RAM), it's a noticable difference in speed, the M4 screen is a bit brighter, and battery life is better. TBH, the M1 was actually meeting my needs pretty well still. I do still miss the wedge shape of the M1, actually, but otherwise very happy.
