Im on the lookout for a rMBP but wondering if it will be powerful enough for photo editing.

I'm normally editing Canon 5D Mark II RAW files.

Will this Mac book be enough? I also have a Mac mini that works great. This is for mobile use.

Thanks all!

I think any model within the line will suit you in terms of processing power. In terms of Ram would suggest you get the 16 GB option to play safe. On storage, you can go as low as the 128GB SSD size since you may work with an external USB3 drive (unless you want to store all the pictures in the SSD)

I edit .nef raw files from my nikon d610 in lightroom and photoshop.
(2-3gb per go)
There is no difference between my mini and rmbp (specs below)
So any macbook will work fine.

If the mini works well, the rMBP will do better - its a faster computer, after all.
