Hello All

I am nearly always at the ram ceiling on my iMac now - however I am sure most of you guys/gals will suggest that the computer will always make use of the ram available.

The programs I tend to use (albeit lightly) are inDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and was wondering how you guys are coping or not coping with the base model and 8gb of ram?

My current computer is a late 2013, 27" iMac i5, 3.4ghz, fusion, 2gb GPU and 8gb of ram. Judging by the benchmarks it appears that new MBP CPUs are pretty weak, even when compared to my ageing iMac!

My plan is to pick up a base TB model with 16gb of ram in store at some stage - is this possible?

I have the base configuration and use Logic Pro X / Virtual box on it.

You'll be fine with 8GB, but if you have the money - upgrade if you're concerned.
