Well, I tried making the OP 14,000,000.. but I think it was 14,000,003. (DAMN)
Although, Wikipedia speaks about the 10,000,000th post.. It's grown fast!
Is there navel lint?

I think what makes it difficult to tell is that the count you guys are referring to from the forum page seems not to include deleted posts.

Thus I ask, why does the number differ on the MacRumors Forums front page? Surely we had more than 404,000 spam posts in the last decade.

Hmm. Perhaps this thread should move to Site and Forum Feedback.
Since its almost 3 months late, maybe it should be moved to Wasteland.
If people Googled and searched the forums before posting, we'd only have eight million posts.
There's nothing wrong with new people asking the same question many of us have seen many times. This is a big site and to most people, it's overwhelming. They may not notice or understand how to use the search function, or may not be computer savvy at all and not know about Google.
That's where many of our members step up and help those folks out with their questions and refrain from berating them for not using Google first.
Never said there was anything wrong with it.
There's a difference between berating them (which some people certainly have done, and still do, unfortunately) and "teaching a man to fish," which people really should do more often. But of course that take much more time than either berating them or just answering the question.
