I am thinking about upgrading my memory. Mac say 16 GB is the most But read some where some installed 32 GB and it worked.

The OWC macsales update page only shows 16 GB as the max.

If you could add more, they would tell you. For example, they show 64 GB as max for my MacPro3,1 even though Apple only supported 32 GB, and using 64 GB causes a slowdown unless you tell the OS (macOS or Windows) to use slightly less than 64 GB (such as 62 GB).
