For once, US airlines doing something for their passengers. Too many cases until now (like the one at the beginning of the video) where an airline completely disregards the AirTag location.

EDIT It was just one line in the entire video, sorry folks. But hopefully this is legit.

in 18.2 apple is adding a way to share AirTags via a web link.
You can share with whoever you want, including airlines.
That link expires in a week.

Now time for rental car companies to do the same.

Wasn't an Airtag, but watched for 5 days as my 2nd phone (for work) moved between 2 lots, and Avis straight refused to send someone out to the car and pick it up.

Thankfully a branch lot had a MUCH more accommodating staff and someone grabbed my phone. Still not done lighting Avis up for this incident.

Some of them are completely against AirTags - but given how poor some of them are you have to use AirTags to track your luggage.

I’m surprised some airlines haven’t tried to develop something to jam AirTags just for the sake of it.

I have just flown Emirates over December and on the bag check it specifically asked if I had a smart bag or GPS tracking device in my luggage... obviously i didn't. /s but it seems some are very much against it...
