I got a 15"mbp from ebay recently but I wanna upgrade to a more powerful version. I opened this mac and registered it 4 days ago, if I bring it to a mac store can I give it back and pay the difference for a better model?

thanks guys

Did you get a receipt?

If so, maybe. Keep in mind the 14-day remorse is from the day it was originally purchased from Apple, not the day you got it.

Well I got the receipt from ebay, not Apple.

I was hoping they could check that it was registered only 4 days ago so well within 14 days limit and even better Im willing to give them more money for a more expensive one. :p

Who exactly did you get it from on eBay?

If it wasn't Apple, I doubt they would honour the return policy, regardless of when you registered it. A device can be registered 4 years after it's bought. It doesn't really mean anything.

You have to return the machine from the vendor you got it from. Apple Retail will not accept returns from products that were not originally purchased from them - they will not that that serial number in their POS system.

Actually, you might...but your odds are not good, and it would require managerial intervention. It's especially unlikely given that you bought it off eBay rather than an authorized Apple reseller. I suppose you can try, but don't get your hopes up.

You can't return ebay purchases to Apple.

Ebay returns depend on individual seller's return policy.
