This is my speculation based on Apple not providing the 11” iPad Pro with a Mini-LeD display, opting to push buyers towards the more expensive 12.9” M1 iPad Pro.

Is it confirmed that the 14” MacBook Pro Will indeed get a Mini-LED display ?

I thought the reasoning behind 11" iPad not getting it was constraints in the availability of screens and also to be able to keep the "from $799". On the Macbook I think there are plenty reasons for buying the 16" even if the screen is the same. That said, I wouldn't buy the 16" no matter the screen :)

It's probably going to be less fruitful trying to herd people over to a $2.5k full size workstation laptop based on a single feature than it is a $1,000 tablet. Unless they can hack quite a bit off the price of the 16" it's going to remain a relatively niche machine mainly for those who want as much power as can be crammed into a portable computer.

I still think mLED might be an optional BTO for the MacBooks, like the nano-texture glass on the iMac, that solves any capacity issues, and lets them get their extra pound of flesh for the new feature.

I can see some good reasons why the 14 inch might not come with Micro LED - a combination of supply, cost and (marginal) added thickness/weight might make regular LED the better choice. Personally I would take a high refresh rate over Micro LED, but really even if they stuck with the current MacBook Pro screens these are already excellent and don't really cry out for an upgrade.

you are being naive to think the next 16" MacBook Pro base model will be less than 3 grand!
