14" or 16" for using on the couch? (ie. casual/gaming)

I'm currently using a 2020 MacBook Pro M1 13.3" but I'm very interested in the new MacBook Pro. However, I'm wondering between the 14" and the 16". The 13.3" has become a tiny bit too small but I use it 100% on the couch and I think the 14" might be a nice upgrade. The 16" sounds very nice too but I'm wondering if it's too big to use on my lap on the couch.

I use the laptop for casual web surfing, video, and gaming. I also have a desktop gaming PC that I use the MacBook to gamestream to.
