Posting here to see if there are tips or if any others are getting this issue. I can't tell if this was damaged in shipping or defective but I am getting lines all over the bottom of the screen and a "belt" like notch across the bottom. It reminds me of my currently busted 2014 with its display issues.

I have gone ahead and started a return process online but I am currently "unable to print label, check back in a few hours" which it certainly has been and I have already made 3 separate calls into the apple support to attempt to help me generate this label or drop the machine off in store to get the process of a replacement rolling.

SUPER dissapointing because I have been waiting over 2 years to replace my broken 2014 and in march of 2020 my in-store delivery for a 16" intel pro was canceled.

I'm debating if I should just start a whole new order at this point and return this one in store for cash.

I've been there buddy - absolutely sucks. I feel for ya but you know you're going to get a much better experience the 2nd time around. Best part this is from apple direct so you don't have to do that song and dance like with other retailers

Hopefully so and it wasn't a bad local delivery man that did this and will do it again.

I did have a lot of issues generating a return label and it took getting a supervisor to manually create one. Even then when I went in with the QR code it did not work, so for others that experience this be sure to manually generate the label BEFORE going to the store so you don't have a fiasco there too like I did.
 
Looks like 4-5 weeks until i can expect the replacement. I have talked to a bunch of reps and looks like thats the fastest i can expect.

What really sucks is I had a 16" for in store delivery that got canceled on me in march of 2020... so i've been without a laptop for like 2 years waiting and now another 4-6 weeks.

Lazy coding data scientist needs the extra RAM and HD i'm sure thats whats taking it so long
