iPhone 14 Pro 14 Pro hot but why?

All backups and downloads are done, not on charge and on LTE. All I’ve done today was visit a website. The back of the phone is extremely warm. Not using case at all, battery is at 60%.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

My 14 Pro 256GB (not sure if the size matters) doesn’t exhibit these problems. I only have about 40GB on it though. Set it up Friday by 130pm. Battery was iffy yesterday but seems to be much better today. Around 92 after some light usage but phones been off the charger since 730am.

The only issue I’m seeing is the phone seems to drop frames more than I am used to when exciting an app. I’m on iOS 16.0.1.

im noticing my 14 pro max is also hot at times... but more concerningly when its sitting idle in my pocket.

A number of times ive felt the phone get warm in my pocket - not burning but warm enough for me to feel the temperature change - and this is something I never experienced with the 13pro max.
