I just got the 14 pro max. Love it great phone . I was curious if it’s just me or not. But when I go to insert the lighting cable to charge it, boy does it take more then I thought. Is it just me or are they pretty tough clicks on the 14 series to get the lightning cord in? Thanks .

On mine there is friction putting the plug in and then there is more force required to get it past the “click” when fully inserted.

My 14PM is the same way. I got it on release day as I traded my 12PM. It developed a situation where it would sometimes stop charging when plugged in. I realized that there was a little play when the lightning cable was in it. If I moved it or the cord a certain way it would stop charging. This led me to trade the phone when the 14s were available for preorder. Luckily Apple gave me full trade for it. Now when I plug the cord into it I make sure I put it in straight and when unplugging I grab it by right where it plugs into the phone. Just a word of caution.
