I have a few icons that that do not work for my folders. They just make it turn into the white paper view looking icon with ICNS on it.

are they too big or wrong size or what?

Well I have done that ...


I just have some icon files that will not work at all for some reason ... I attached a picture of the ones I have done.
Which ones don't work, and how exactly are you trying to change them?

I copy the icon, then paste it on the folder like I did with the others. I just get the image below .....

Don't copy the .icns file in Finder. Double-click it to open it in Preview, then Command-A to select all and Command-C to copy. Now paste that into the Get Info window of the folder you want to change.

ooooh ok ... why do some icns files work and some I have to do that way?
