Many have problem with new Macbook pro retina about lag issue,Some have not.
Either way so can you post your Macbook Pro Retina gui performance videos here.

You most write details about Video.

1.Which OS do you use
2.Spec on youre Macbook
3.Which display resolution
4.Which Graphic Card intel hd4000 or Nvidia Gt650m
5.Which Website do you use under test

Any other macbook,iMac or any other computer can also post videos here.

My Retina MacbookPro is always on Nvidia Gpu.
I notice that my retina macbook pro is faster sometimes and it laggy and stuttering sometime. In Bootcamp on windows 7 is much faster web browsing even site like Facebook. My screen resolution is 2880x1800 in windows 7.

Here is my video on Mountain Lion on Nvidia GPU

Here is in Windows 7

Maybe I have it, but to be honest, I've not noticed any lagging issues. It also may be attributed to the fact I wen from a 2010 MBP which was showing its age (performance) as I worked and this rMBP is a speed demon in comparison

I would be lying if i said that i didn't see any choppy behavior from time to time, but I never encountered anything that bothered me.

I do not see an issue in your videos.

I would post a lag video if I could make it lag. So, for the sake of the thread, no lag on:

Mountain Lion.
2.6GHz / 16GB / 768GB.
2880 x 1800.
At the moment of typing, HD4000 on battery.
At the moment of typing, this one, although I've got lag only on Facebook.

Perhaps I'm just not very sensitive to the lag but... yeah. I've not observed any at all under Mountain Lion. Lion, however, was considerably worse in Safari.

You can post video of how smooth your Macbook is;)

This is DUMB!

Nothing is perfect. The retina is a fantastic computer with an incredible display.

Why don't you just enjoy using it instead of trying to find something wrong with it?

OR RETURN IT!

What is so wrong with it that it is my first post? If you don't want to post video don't do it.

Some people become too emotionally attached to brands, etc. and treat them as a religion. If anyone criticizes them, they go into hysterics and call people trolls and such.

I watched your video, and kept waiting for the supposed lag. Never saw it. What time does the lag start?

Mine does lag, tried all scaling settings, the lower 2 1024 and 1280, seam to minimize the lag but it's still there. Tried on both Intel and Nvidia GPU's, Nvidia is a little smoother than the Intel 4000 but not night and day difference.

Running externally to a 22" 1080p monitor, closing the MacBook Pro R, mitigates the problem completely.

It's as smooth as marble flooring on an external monitor.

I fear it is indeed a hardware limitation and thus we are all pretty much stuck.

I do hold hope that Apple manage to at least improve the best for retina setting as this should be the most simple resolution for them to run, (double upscale).

We should hold in mind that at 1920x1200 the machine is having to render at 3840x2400 then downscale to fit the screen so it is bloody hard work for high end hardware nevermind the 650M/Intel HD4000.

I watched the first video, where is the lag you are talking about? I don't see any lag in your video, so why are you coming here asking for people to post videos of a problem that have successfully shown doesn't exist??

LOL... the only videos I see are of perfectly smooth animation. OP requests people to post videos of animation problems... yet his own videos show no problems whatsoever... and nobody posts any videos to show any problems.

FAIL!

I was starting to get annoyed with the occasional lag on my base rMBP so I decided to go back to the "best for retina" resolution and have found the experience to be much much better in ML.

I still would like to see a fix, as I enjoyed the extra screen real estate.

I used the machine at "1680 x 1050" from day 1, so I didnt realize what I was missing. For the time being, i'll be using the best resolution. Sites like the verge are still crap, but I hardly am on there.

I did not say that i has always lag on my Retina Macbook pro.Sometimes it has micro stuttering or lag sometime its very smooth,Maybe its software issue. But if someone have lag issue, they can post here.

I dunno if there will be a fix until they can get the real powerhouse GPUs to run cooler. I think it's a hardware/Electrical Engineering issue and not an optimization issue - but I have to imagine it will at least marginally improve with software updates.

Yes this is very likely. Anandtech pointed this out as well. It is much better at the "best" resolution. I did send Apple feedback on the topic, maybe if enough people speak up, something will be attempted.

If Adobe would upgrade Lightroom 4 to retina, i honestly would have no reason to use the scaled resolutions.

My Retina is laggy only while scrolling on FB (Safari 6).

Another sites like Youtube etc. with many pictures and so on are fine without any scrolling lag.. ;)

I am really happy with that notebook :)
