Thunderbolt, Boot Camp and Target Display Mode

have a 2011 iMac and a Retina MacBook Pro. Target Display Mode works when both are running OS X but if the MacBook Pro is running Windows the iMac won't enter Target Display Mode.

I was under the impression that this should work (provided the iMac is running OS X). Especially since Thunderbolt Displays work with MacBooks using Bootcamp.

Does anyone know for sure if this works or not?

Anyone? This is quite a disappointing (and doesn't make sense, hey it's Apple), that we can't use a thunderbolt iMac with a PC. Especially when the thunderbolt display works with a PC.

What happens if you boot both to osx, enter target display mode and then restart the macbook to windows?
