I have a 256GB Samsung 830, which I've only had for around 2 or 3 weeks now, and love it. It seemed the best value for money at the time at around the £150 mark. However, I've since had the itch for the 512GB version, considering my current system needs to last me for a good few years now.
Been looking at prices for the 512GB and they seem a little excessive at around the £450 mark. The cheapest I could find it was at £420 (I will only shop at reputable and established retailers).
Amazon had the drive at just shy of £450. However, checked today at its suddenly dropped since yesterday to £356!!!
I had £140 saved up in Amazon vouchers from my credit card points, so used that also. In total I spent £216!!
£216 for a 512GB Samsung 830! Well chuffed!
Above all else, I have a 2.5 week old 256GB version to now sell, which should go for around £140 on eBay (it's listed in the marketplace here as well if anyone is interested!).
So if you are in the market for a SSD, Samsung 830 drives are brilliant (see my testing and review video on YouTube - link in sig), grab one now before the prices increases from Amazon!
