China does not enforce intellectual property laws at all. Neither side would win a lawsuit resulting from this TBH. In fact I doubt Goophone will even bother, it's just a bluff to get free advertising.
 
tell that to apple after paying 60 million for the ipad name in China.

and expect a similar outcome for the snow leopard lawsuit...although the Chinese chemical company is only asking for a more modest 80,000 and a public apology.
 
China isn't known for it's protection of IP so this might fly on some level.
