This is thread solely to show that all iPhone 5's aren't doomed. I just wanted all the nervous potential buyers of the 5 to know that the iPhone 5 isn't a flawed device. I was very scared that I'd get this brick with scratches, with Wi-Fi issues but that wasn't the case.
Got my iPhone scratch-free on Monday. I have not had any Wi-Fi issues or no cellular data issues (as in the iPhone downloading over cellular when it should have used Wi-Fi). No microphone issues etc.
First Impressions:
Speed: I came from a 3GS so the difference is huge. This is so almost instant in opening apps and performing tasks. This thing is VERY FAST. All you iPhone 4 users & earlier will notice it instantly.
Cameras: FaceTime HD is noticeable better than FaceTime (compared to friend's iPhone 4). Also, the back camera is nice...However, the purple-haze is real but avoidable.
Design: It's light and oddly thin. Thinness was never an issue with the iPhone 4, I wish they would just stop with it. I still believe the iPhone 4 is a better design; the glass back is dumb but the overall design more cohesive & premium than the 5.
